We, the students of LCOAHS DDT 2022 batch, along with five staff members, recently visited an orphanage called Vimala Bhavan. At the orphanage, we had the opportunity to meet 33 differently-abled children. Our journey began at 8:00 AM from Lisie Hospital, and it turned out to be an incredibly rewarding experience for all of us. During our visit, we had the privilege of celebrating Christmas with the children. To make their day even more special, we purchased essential items for them. We spent a significant amount of time engaging with the children, singing and dancing together. The atmosphere was filled with pure joy and happiness throughout the day. This visit not only allowed us to give back to the community but also provided us with a valuable opportunity to connect with these incredible children. Witnessing their resilience and spirit was truly inspiring. We were reminded of the importance of compassion and empathy in our lives. Overall, our visit to Vimala Bhavan orphanage was a memorable and heartwarming experience. It served as a reminder of the power of kindness and the impact we can make in the lives of others. We are grateful for the chance to have shared this special day with the children and hope to continue supporting them in any way we can.
